I have been a " Deadhead " and somewhat of a baseball fan..Our game tickets were labeled as an " Experience"...This experience started out with a group of Deadheads waiting to enter Triples Alley
Once inside we we greeted with a buffet of fine baseball food fare..Cracker Jacks, peanuts , brownies
Once I finished off my appetizers I settled in for the main course , hot dog ,pulled pork and the best quacamole I have ever tasted
Beer was also included in the feast ...Beer of choice was Anchor Steam ...Also rubbed elbows with some SF celebs Mickey Hart ( Grateful Dead member ) & NBA star now commentator Bill Walton..I am not sure how Bill would get associated with this but he was a funny person , loves to talk & signed my Giants baseball !!!
I drifted to the outfield to watch batting practice with other enthusiastic Giants , Deadhead fans. Some inventive ways to get a batting practice ball
..Sipping on a beer, hearing crack of the bat,sun beating down on us I was getting into baseball frame of mind
Curb your enthusiasm old timer !
Thats NOT me in te pic !!
Pre game over it was time to head up to our seats..My Grateful Dead Converse shoes were noticed
The game was a tight one , Giants won in extra innigs 3-2 .
Yes I would call this an " experience " . I now follow the Giants daily , listen to much more Grateful Dead tunes ...The last pic sums it up ..All this talk of baseball, The Dead has given me the munchies !
