Its about time

After seeing friends ,co workers set up a Blog I figured a while abck i should do the same..however lack of time..ideas..energy kept me from starting..For some reason i have the time tonight . i am not getting any younger so here goes...But where to start..How about a Scotch Tasting !
I received emails from Devines Liquor store in Edmonton..They mostly have wines tasting but in January/09 they were offering a Cast Strength Single Malt tasting..I asked my neighbor who has some 30 + bottles of single malt scotch in his cabinet to join me...They were offering samples of Balblair, Royal Lochnagar, Caol Ila, Miltonduf, Macallan, and a surprise whiskey to boot. We also had a taste of The Haggis which was quite good. I did however miss the turnips !

The surprise whiskey was a malt whiskey from India , Am
rut ( Nectar of Life) ..I cannot think of a better way to describe single malt scotch..So after the scotch , haggis ,seeing about 30 people loosen up over sampling whiskey , walking away with pens , map of Scotland showing various distillery locations I figured this was $50.00 well spent !
